All performances at the Lebanon Opera House. Donizetti's "The Elixir of Love," a lighthearted comedy, is the story of Nemorino, madly in love with the arrogant Adina. Nemorino will do anything to win Adina's affection--even spend his last dime on a “love potion”. In the end, boy gets girl and love triumphs. August 7, 10, 15, 18 at 7:30 PM. Rodgers and Hammerstein's "The King and I" is the story of Anna Leonowens, who travels to Siam to teach the royal children. Anna clashes with the King, a man striving to bring his country into the modern age. This classic musical is sure to delight viewers of all ages. August 3, 8, 11, 16 (2:00 PM), and 17. All evening performances at 7:30 PM. Finally, Opera North presents Mozart's "The Impresario" and Janáček’s "The Cunning Little Vixen". Mozart's one-act opera about the classic conflict between singers and those who must cast them is paired with the delightful 20th-century tale of life in a European forest. Sung at venues across the Upper Valley, the two will be sung at the Lebanon Opera House on August 14 at 2:00 PM.
